A lot more clothing has developed, along with his character. She'd originally thought of a somewhat formal cape for Milo ... he'd now told her his name. What developed, however, was what she thought to be a heavy cloth cape, very worn from his great travels. (More about the cape in the painting section.) And to help him in climbing up and down hills and valleys, a staff appeared in his right hand. She tried putting a tiny crystal at the top of it, but Milo rejected that.

Here's the first closeup of the cape from the rear, blowing in a strong breeze. The cape, by the way, was made from a very thin piece of clay which Judi rolled out on a hand pasta making machine. Judi makes use of many odd tools which help better our creation!

Here you have two closeups of the head. Milo now has hair peeking out from his hat. The hat, she thought originally, would be more formal. Milo nixed that. It's made from the same cloth of his cape! Well worn, rough, very protective from the wind and weather. Milo's been places, done things and has a long road yet to go!

On the right you see the back of the hat, rumpled, almost seeming to have fingerprints from his pushing it down firmly onto his head.
